Thank you for considering adoption through Animals, People and Environment Action. We are a 501c3 non profit organization run solely on the donations of caring citizens and volunteers. Without community support we cannot do the work we do to save and rehabilitate animals.
We do not ship dogs and only adopt locally to surrounding areas of Los Angeles County.
A house check and application is required for all adoptions and foster homes.
We also ask for a MINIMUM contribution donation* of $250.00 for adult dogs, a reduced contribution of $150.00 for seniors 8 years and older, and $300 for puppies under 1 year of age. These donations help us cover the spay/neuter of your new pet, current shots, micro chipping, training if needed, food, medical if needed, grooming, and sometimes temporary boarding or foster care of the animal.
*Contribution donations are NOT A PURCHASE PRICE nor an ADOPTION FEE but a donation freely given.
This donation is NOT the ONLY consideration when evaluating a perspective adoptee, although it is a important part of our decision process, the inability to support our work is a warning to us, that maybe the adoptee cannot realistically afford to care for a pet. Vet bills are expensive and costly. If you cannot afford the donation contribution then maybe you should re-evaluate your decision to adopt and consider being a foster parent.
